Houston Aeros Booster Club

Minutes for 2/18/04

A general membership meeting of the Houston Aeros Booster Club was held on Wednesday, February 18, 2004 at Patrenella’s Ristorante Italiano. The meeting was called to order at 7:30pm.

The Board informed the general membership that this meeting was to discuss the state of the Booster Club. To date, the Booster Club has not had a player as a guest speaker at a meeting. The Aeros Front Office has informed the Board that Minnesota has placed greater restrictions on player appearances. At this time, Minnesota has no dates available in February for a player appearance. The Board and the Aeros Front Office will continue to work together in the future to obtain guest speakers.

The Board informed the general membership that the Booster Club is now incorporated. A checking account has been set up as a business incorporated account. The Board is working on drafting a few more documents in order to place more signatures on the account’s signature card.

The general membership present agreed by consensus that the Booster Club should strive to be a booster club, and not a fan club. The following were suggestions to achieve this goal.

· Create a Mission Statement

· Put on Hockey 101 sessions

· Have Tom Garrity as a guest at another meeting

· Continue supporting Houston Aeros Charities

· Put a suggestion box at the Booster Club Table

· Schedule the rest of the Booster Club meetings for the year

· Put the agenda of each meeting on the web site at least two weeks prior to the meeting

Meeting was adjourned at 8:40pm.
