A general membership meeting of the Houston Hockey Booster Club, Inc. was held on Monday, October 24, 2005 at Pappas BBQ Restaurant in Houston, Texas. President Melanie Ogren presided over the meeting, which was called to order at 7:08 PM

Melanie welcomed everyone to the meeting and made an announcement about the Aeros’ promotion of the Deaf Night event and game on Saturday, November 12, 2005. Also, an announcement was made that the Booster Club did purchase a Dasher Board advertisement to promote the club. Membership chair Ivan Kusjanovic gave a membership update as to the number of members signed up, which were 78.

Melanie welcomed our guest for the evening, Houston Aeros Coach Rob Daum. Coach Daum spoke about how he became involved in hockey and a timeline of his coaching career, and his experiences in Houston so far. He then answered questions concerning team chemistry and the individual and team strengths and weaknesses.

An announcement was made that the Booster Club will have a Feed the Team on the first Saturday in December. Also, Margaret Martin announced that she has a raffle through December 4th for 3 autographed hockey sticks that will benefit the Woodhaven Deaf School. She gave her e-mail address as a contact point.

Melanie adjourned the meeting at 8:15 PM.
